About Bisalpur Dam & Bisaldeo Temple

The Bisaldeo or Gokarneshwar temple was built in the 12th century by the Chauhan king Vigraharaja IV, also called Visaladeva, on the Banas river. The dam that now supplies Jaipur its drinking water backs up against it, and in a good monsoon the temple stands with the water at its plinth. Come after the rains when the gates open and the reservoir is full.
