About Napangphung and the Bichom Valley
Bichom is the newest district in the state, carved out of East and West Kameng in 2024, with its headquarters at Napangphung in the Bichom river valley. This is Bugun and Aka country, forested and steep, and the roads are jeep tracks that wash out in the rains. There is nothing set up for visitors: the reason to come is the river, the Aka villages and the quiet. For the very determined only.
