About Bhadrakali Temple
A temple to Bhadrakali on the bank of the Ghaggar at Amarpura, 7 km from Hanumangarh Town, built by Maharaja Ram Singh of Bikaner in the late sixteenth century, the story going that he vowed it before a battle he then won. The idol is red stone. It is a district temple rather than a national one, busy on Navratri in Chaitra and Ashwin and quiet otherwise, and it pairs with Bhatner Fort for a morning.
