About Betla National Park

The heart of the Palamu Tiger Reserve, around 150 km from Ranchi, with sal forest, elephants, sambar, gaur and leopards, and a small tiger population that is seldom seen. Jeep safaris go through the forest and past the old Palamu forts of the Chero kings. It is quiet, and the cool months are the best. Book the jeep and a forest rest house in advance in peak season.
