About Babulnath Temple
A Shiva temple on a small hill above Chowpatty, reached by a long flight of steps or a lift if the knees object. The old story has a cow that gave milk on the same spot every day until a herdsman dug there and found the linga. The babul tree it stood under gave the temple its name. On Mahashivratri the queue runs all the way down to the road.
