About Antarvedi
Antarvedi is where the Vasishta Godavari meets the Bay of Bengal, and the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple here is one of the main Vaishnava shrines of the delta. Pilgrims bathe at the sagara sangamam, the river and sea confluence, before darshan. The annual Kalyanotsavam in the Telugu month of Magha, around February, brings huge crowds and fairs. The beach is wide and quiet at other times, with a lighthouse nearby and boats from Dindi.
