About Baba Vishu Raut Sthan
Baba Vishu Raut is a cowherd saint of the Kosi belt, worshipped much like Karu Khirhari in Saharsa, and his sthan in the Murliganj area is the centre of that cult. Herders bring milk and the first curd of the season. It is small and rural, and the interest is the living tradition rather than the building.
What to see and do
- Milk offerings by the herding community
- Kosi folk saint tradition
- A village shrine, not a tourist site
