About Vajreshwari & Akloli Hot Springs
Chimaji Appa built this temple after taking Vasai from the Portuguese in 1739, in fulfilment of a vow made before the campaign. The area sits on hot springs, and the sulphur baths at Akloli and Ganeshpuri nearby are the other reason people come. It is an easy day out of Mumbai that most people in Mumbai have never made.
