About Tung (Kathingad)
A steep cone rising straight out of Pawna lake. The fort is tiny, it was a watchtower rather than a stronghold, but the climb is sharp and the ridge at the top narrow enough to feel exposed. Quick to do, and often paired with Tikona.
What to see and do
- The narrow, exposed summit ridge
- Tungi Devi temple
- Pawna lake on three sides
- Steep, continuous gradient, a good fitness test
Part of Sahyadri (Western Ghats).
