About Tijara Fort Palace
Balwant Singh of Alwar started this hilltop fort-palace in 1835 and died before it was finished, so it stood roofless for a century and a half. The Neemrana group restored it into a hotel, adding painted interiors in the Shekhawati manner. It is private property; ring ahead if you want to see the courtyards without staying.
