About Tallapaka
The village where the 15th century poet saint Annamacharya was born, who composed some 32,000 sankeertanas to Lord Venkateswara and after whom the district is named. The Chennakesava Swamy temple, a Siddheswara temple and a small museum with his life story are the main stops; TTD maintains the site and holds his jayanti here in May. Tallapaka is about 12 km from Rajampet on the Kadapa to Tirupati road.
