About Suryalanka Beach
Suryalanka is the nearest good beach for Guntur and Vijayawada, 9 km from Bapatla town. The shore is wide and flat and the water shallow for a long way out, though currents can be strong. The state tourism department runs a Haritha beach resort with cottages, which makes it the usual overnight beach stop for the region. The beach is quiet on weekdays and busy on winter weekends and Sankranti.
