About Chirala
Chirala is a handloom town on the coast between Bapatla and Ongole, known across Andhra for its cotton and silk sarees and the Kuppadam weaving style. Weavers work from home in the streets around the town and prices are far below city showrooms. The beaches of Vodarevu and Ramapuram are 6 km east. Chirala is on the Chennai to Vijayawada railway line, which makes it an easy stop.
