About Seppa and the Kameng River
The East Kameng headquarters on the Kameng river, about 150 km and a slow five hours from Itanagar. It is a Nyishi town, the base for the whole district, and the put-in for the Kameng rafting run down towards Bhalukpong when expeditions are organised, which is not often. There are a couple of basic hotels. Nyokum on 26 February is the big Nyishi festival and is celebrated here on a large scale.
