About Sangram Durg (Chakan)
A ground fort at Chakan, famous for a siege in 1660 when Firangoji Narsala held out against Shaista Khan for well over a month with a few hundred men. The Mughals eventually blew a breach in the wall. Firangoji was released in recognition of the defence he had put up.
