About Sagalee
A Nyishi sub-divisional town in the hills north-west of Itanagar, about 70 km by a winding road along the Pare river. This is the Nyishi heartland: bamboo houses, wet rice terraces in the valley bottoms, and a big turnout for Nyokum on 26 February. There is a circuit house and little else, and no reason to come except to see ordinary Nyishi country close to the capital.
