About Kimin
The gate town on the Assam border where the road to Ziro leaves the plains, 20 km from North Lakhimpur. The permit is checked here, there are a few dhabas, and the Ranganadi runs past. That is the whole of it, but it is where nearly everyone bound for Ziro or Daporijo starts the climb, and worth knowing as the last place for fuel and an ATM.
