About Prahlad Kund
Local tradition says Hardoi is a corruption of Hari-drohi, the enemy of Hari, and places the story of Hiranyakashyap and his son Prahlad here. The kund is where Prahlad is said to have survived Holika's fire, so Holi in Hardoi carries extra weight. The tank and ghats were redeveloped recently. It is a story more than a sight, but a good one.
