About Patiyali
A small qasba on the old course of the Ganga, and the birthplace in 1253 of Amir Khusrau, the poet, musician and disciple of Nizamuddin Auliya whose qawwalis are still sung. There is a memorial, a Ganga ghat and not much else, and the town makes little of its most famous son. For Khusrau readers and anyone crossing between Kasganj and Farrukhabad.
