About Nako Lake and Village
A high village with a small lake, surrounded by willow and poplar trees, close to the Tibet border. An old Buddhist temple complex of Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo, with wall paintings, is in the village, and a footprint said to be of the saint is in a rock. The area is under the Inner Line rule, so carry identity documents, and foreigners need a permit.
