About Miao
The town on the Noa-Dihing where the Namdapha road begins, and where the park office issues permits. Choephelling, the Tibetan refugee settlement of the 1960s on the edge of town, has a monastery, carpet weaving and good momos. The small Namdapha museum and mini-zoo at the forest office are worth half an hour. Miao is about 65 km from Margherita in Assam.
