The home of the Dalai Lama in exile, with the Tsuglagkhang complex, the Namgyal Monastery, the Tibet Museum and a lively market of Tibetan food and crafts. Prayer wheels line the walk around the complex. The town is crowded in summer, and cloudy in the monsoon.
