About Manginapudi Beach
Manginapudi is the beach of Machilipatnam, about 11 km from the town on the Bay of Bengal. The sand is dark and the shore slopes gently, so it is a popular picnic spot for families from Vijayawada, 70 km away. The sea here has strong undercurrents and lifeguards ask visitors to stay in shallow water. Weekends and Sankranti holidays are the busiest.
