About Kuchipudi
Kuchipudi is the small village in Movva mandal that gave its name to the Kuchipudi classical dance form, developed here by Siddhendra Yogi and Brahmin dance families. The Siddhendra Kalakshetra runs dance training and there are memorials to the gurus of the tradition. There is not much for a casual tourist, but dance students and culture travellers stop here. It is 25 km from Machilipatnam and 60 km from Vijayawada.
