About Keibul Lamjao National Park
The only floating national park in the world, built on the phumdis at the south of Loktak Lake, and the last home of the sangai, the brow antlered deer, the state animal of Manipur. The deer are shy and best seen in the cool months from the watchtowers and on a boat or on foot along the edge. Spotting is not certain, so carry binoculars and keep still. The park is closed or limited in the high water of the monsoon, so check ahead.
