About Kanubari
The gateway to Longding from the Assam side, a small town on the plains edge near Sonari where the ILP is checked and the hill road to Longding begins. Tea gardens, a market, a couple of eating places. Pongchau, deep in the south of the district near the Myanmar line, is the other end of the same road and is for the very determined.
