About Great Himalayan National Park
A UNESCO World Heritage Site of deep forest and high meadows, with over 800 plant species and animals such as the Himalayan tahr, the snow leopard, the western tragopan and the brown bear. Treks go through the Tirthan and Sainj valleys, and a guide is required. The best time is from April to June and September to November.
