About Ganwaria
About a kilometre southwest of Piprahwa, the ASI excavated two large brick complexes with courtyards and rooms in the 1970s and read them as the residential and palace quarter of Kapilavastu. What you see are low brick walls laid out in a field. It takes ten minutes to walk round and makes sense only after Piprahwa.
