About Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary

One of the largest sanctuaries in the north-east, over 4000 sq km of the Mishmi Hills north of Anini, from temperate forest to alpine meadow and snow. It is home to the Mishmi takin, red goral, red panda, musk deer and a tiger population found at altitudes nobody expected. There is no infrastructure: you trek from Anini or the road-head villages with Idu guides. Permit from the Divisional Forest Officer at Anini.
