About Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple

A ninth century Shiva temple at the foot of Nandi Hills, one of the oldest in Karnataka, added to in turn by the Gangas, Cholas, Hoysalas and Vijayanagara kings. The twin shrines of Bhoga Nandeeshwara and Arunachaleshwara are joined by a marriage hall of black stone pillars, and behind them is a large stepped tank. It is quiet compared to the hill above and is often used for wedding photographs. Stop here on the way up or down from Nandi Hills.
