About Avalabetta
A hill 90 km north of Bengaluru with a road almost to the top and a short walk to a Lakshmi Narasimha temple and a rock that juts out over the cliff. The overhanging rock became a popular photo spot and has been fenced after accidents, so do not climb past the barrier. The summit has a small forest guest house and views over the dry plains. It is far less crowded than Nandi Hills.
