About Barnava Lakshagriha
A large ancient mound between the Hindon and Krishna rivers that local tradition identifies as Varnavat, where the Kauravas tried to burn the Pandavas in the house of lac. ASI excavations have found painted grey ware and later material. There is a tunnel entrance shown to visitors, a Sufi shrine on the mound, and an old ownership dispute settled in court in 2024.
