About Ujjayanta Palace
The former royal palace of Tripura in the heart of Agartala, built in 1901 by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya in the Indo-Saracenic style, with three domes, a Mughal style garden and two lakes. It holds the Tripura State Museum, with tribal art and royal objects. A big lawn, fountains and the carved gateway make the grounds a good place to stroll in the evening. Check opening days and photography rules, as the museum is closed one day each week.
