About Tamdil Lake
A natural lake in a fold of forest 7 km from Saitual, 85 km and about three hours from Aizawl. The name means lake of mustard, from a story of a mustard plant whose cut stem gushed water until it filled the valley. It is small, quiet, and set up for a day out: paddle boats, a fishery, a tourist lodge and shade to sit in. Combine it with the drive towards Champhai.
