About Sindkhed Raja: Jijabai’s Birthplace
The birthplace of Jijabai, Shivaji’s mother, and the seat of the Jadhav family. The Lakhuji Jadhav rajwada, his memorial, stepwells and temples all survive across the small town, which is now a protected heritage precinct.
