About Shukratal
The place on the old Ganga channel where, by tradition, Shukdev recited the Bhagavat Purana to King Parikshit. An enormous banyan said to be thousands of years old shades the Shukdev temple, and there are ghats, a Hanuman statue and a string of ashrams. The Kartik Purnima fair is the busy time.
