About Company Bagh
One of the oldest botanical gardens in India, laid out in the 1750s as a Rohilla garden and taken over by the East India Company in 1817. John Forbes Royle ran it in the 1820s and it once supplied tea and quinine seedlings across north India. Today it is a large, slightly tired public garden with old trees and a herbarium.
