About Punyagiri
A hill shrine of Uma Kotilingeswara Swamy in the Eastern Ghats near Srungavarapukota, about 45 km from Vizianagaram. A flight of steps leads up through the forest to the temple, and a perennial stream falls beside it, so the place is greenest in and after the monsoon. Maha Shivaratri brings the biggest crowds and an all night fair.
