About Pindari Glacier
A classic Kumaon trek of about 6 days, starting at Song above Bageshwar and following the Pindar river through forest and meadow to the glacier snout at about 3,600 metres, with the peaks of Nanda Kot and Nanda Khat above. The route is gentler than most Himalayan treks and well supplied with PWD rest houses at Khati, Dwali and Phurkia. Go in May to June or September to October, and avoid the monsoon rain.
