About Matatila Dam
A 1958 dam across the Betwa on the Lalitpur road, 93 km from Jhansi, with a reservoir that stretches back to the Madhya Pradesh side. There is a rest house, a small garden and boating when the water is right, and it is mostly a picnic stop rather than a destination. Autumn and winter evenings are the time.
