About Kaziranga National Park

A UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to two thirds of the world's one horned rhinos, with tigers, wild elephants, swamp deer and many birds. The park is open from about November to April, and the Kohora, Bagori, Agoratoli and Burapahar ranges each run jeep safaris. Early morning is the best for animals, and elephant rides at dawn have limited seats. Book your safari and stay in advance in peak season, and keep to the rules in the park.
