About Kasar Devi
A temple to the goddess Kasar Devi on a ridge above Almora, with a view of the snow peaks. Swami Vivekananda is said to have meditated here in 1890, and the ridge became a stop on the hippie trail in the 1960s. Cafes and homestays are along the ridge road. It is a calm place with a wide view of the Himalaya from the temple.
