About Jaldapara National Park

The largest park in the Dooars and one of the best places in the country to see the one horned rhino, along with elephants, deer and Indian bison. Elephant rides at dawn and jeep safaris start from Hollong, where the forest lodge sits by the Torsa river. The park is closed during the monsoon, from about mid June to mid September, and winter is the best season. Book the lodge in advance.
