About Intanki National Park
A forest reserve about 37 km from Dimapur, on the Assam border, with elephants, hoolock gibbons, sambar and a good number of birds. A forest road and trails lead through tall tropical evergreen forest. It is a short, easy nature stop for people stuck at Dimapur, but sightings of big animals are rare, so go for the forest and the birds. Winter is the best season, as the roads get muddy in the monsoon.
