About Hemalkasa: Lok Biradari Prakalp
The project Prakash and Mandakini Amte started in 1973, a hospital, a school and an animal orphanage serving the Madia Gond, built in forest that had no road when they arrived. The orphanage takes in animals orphaned by hunting, and visitors can see them.
