About Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary
A sal forest sanctuary around 19 km from Hazaribagh town on the Delhi to Kolkata highway, with sambar, nilgai, wild boar, leopards and a good number of birds. The best way to see animals is from the watchtowers near water holes in the early morning or late afternoon. The monsoon makes the tracks muddy, so the cooler months are best. Check entry timings at the gate.
