About Daporijo and the Subansiri Bridge

The Upper Subansiri headquarters on the Subansiri, the biggest river in the state, roughly 160 km from Ziro or a long day from North Lakhimpur via Kimin. The suspension bridge over the river is the landmark, and the town is a Tagin and Galo mix with the best hotels between Ziro and Along. Rafting on the Subansiri is possible in the cold months with an expedition operator, not off the shelf.
