About Chingus Sarai
A ruined Mughal sarai on the old Mughal route. It is where the body of Emperor Jahangir was kept before it was taken to Lahore, as he died near here in 1627. The Mughal Road still follows the old track in places. The sarai is a quiet ruin, best combined with a ride along the Mughal Road.
