About Basohli
A small town on the Ravi river that gave its name to Basohli painting, a bold style of Pahari miniatures with strong colours that earned a GI tag. The old fort and palace sit above the town, and the huge Ranjit Sagar reservoir lies below. It is far from the usual routes, so it is quiet, and the road into Chamba and Dalhousie begins nearby.
