About Basar
A Galo valley of terraced paddy and small villages, 60 km up from Likabali, and the headquarters of Lepa Rada district. It has stayed off the tourist map, and the community wants to keep it that way, which is what the Basar Confluence in late November is about: a village-run festival of music, food and homestays rather than a stage show. Otherwise walk the paddy paths and the river.
What to see and do
- Terraced paddy in the valley
- Basar Confluence festival in late November
- Galo villages and homestays
- Village walks along the river
